Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Own

  • Data Pipeline Creation & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that extract information from diverse source systems, transform it using SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other big‑data integrations, and load it into the central Data Warehouse.
  • Power BI Dashboard Development: Build interactive, high‑impact visualizations and dashboards in Power BI that translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Define, implement, and continuously improve data quality standards, data dictionaries, and governance policies to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.
  • SQL Mastery: Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in SSMS to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, supporting both ad‑hoc reporting and scheduled analytics.
  • ETL Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce latency, and enhance exception‑based reporting through innovative ETL solutions.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner closely with Business Analysts, IT teams, and department leaders to gather requirements, validate data models, and secure sign‑offs for new data initiatives.
  • Data Modeling & Architecture: Develop scalable data models using star schemas or alternative methodologies, ensuring optimal performance for reporting and analytics.
  • Issue Resolution & Data Cleansing: Diagnose data anomalies, resolve conflicts across source systems, and remediate data quality issues to maintain a single source of truth.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary, documenting pipelines, and sharing best practices with the broader team.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience performing comprehensive data analysis in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Power BI, including creating complex visualizations, managing dimensions, measures, filters, calculated fields, parameters, conditional formatting, and DAX expressions.
  • Strong command of SQL and ability to write sophisticated queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction and transformation.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or comparable big‑data ingestion platforms.
  • Experience building and maintaining data models using star schemas or other proven methodologies.
