Labcorp is seeking a Remote Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our Cytogenetics team that analyzes cases for prenatal, blood chromosomes, and tissues. Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Travel notice: This position is remote with the possibility of work travel up to 7 times a year. Candidate can be located anywhere in the US. Must meet Work from Home requirements listed below.

Salary Range: 80k-110k
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the day to day operations of the remote Cytogenetics team for prenatal, blood chromosomes, and tissues
- Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department
- Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage
- Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
- Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
- Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
- Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
- Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations
- Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
- Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations
- Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations
- Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
- Perform administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Technologist; 7 years preferred
- Cytogenetics analysis experience is required
- Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of ASI system is preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
Work From Home Requirements
- The candidate must have a home office space that is a dedicated room, not shared with other people, and meets HIPAA compliance.
- Wired or wireless internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec is required.
- The candidate must have the ability to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands
