Other Jobs To Apply

No other job posts for this day.

The Children’s Reading Buddy Zone at the Central Library is a project to provide support to children who are reading below grade level. The children may be signed up by their parents and matched with a specific reading buddy, or they may be children who come to the library independently and are given the opportunity to read with a buddy. The primary age group is second grade, but we anticipate younger and older children may participate.

Volunteers will apply through San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) to complete the background check and will be trained by San Antonio Youth Literacy (SAYL). All materials will be provided by SAYL/SAPL. The volunteer commitment is one hour per week, Thursday, 3:30-5:00PM for at least the duration of the Fall semester, September 17, 2026 through December 10.2026. The program may continue in the spring.
