<strong>What To Expect<br></strong>Consider before submitting an application:<br><br>This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through Winter/Spring term (ending approximately May 2027) or continuing into Summer 2027 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.<br><br>International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.<br><br>As Tesla continues to expand its global footprint, we are seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to support the initial planning, execution, and optimization of vehicle service and new market entry initiatives. The Project Manager Intern will play a critical role in enabling scalable, efficient, and data-driven expansion across new regions—ensuring seamless alignment between strategy, operations, and field implementation.<br><br>This role requires a blend of project management acumen, data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive execution and operational readiness in vehicle service markets. You’ll work closely with leadership to define processes, track performance, and support the rollout of Tesla’s products and services in new geographies.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><li>Review and analyze data related to market readiness, operational setup, and go-to-market timelines using Excel or internal Tesla tools </li><li>Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement in new market deployment </li><li>Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine operational documents, workflows, and launch checklists for new market entry initiatives </li><li>Work cross-functionally with teams including operations, logistics, service, sales, regulatory, and supply chain to ensure alignment, resolve integration challenges, and improve collaboration during market launch </li><li>Support the execution of key expansion programs, including facility readiness planning, staffing models, inventory positioning, and regional team enablement—coordinating remotely across time zones </li><li>Partner with regional teams to share best practices, lessons learned, and scalable frameworks for future market entries—driving consistency and efficiency across new launches </li><li>Build and maintain dashboards to track Central South Field Service KPIs — scheduling, availability, backlog, customer satisfaction, productivity, and revenue — using Excel or internal Tesla tools. Including Robotaxi service metrics (fleet readiness, technician efficiency, service cycle times) as part of the same operating picture </li><li>Support scheduling and appointment availability: shop loading, production planning, open capacity, and mobile service response across the Central South Territory </li><li>Help manage backlog: aging work, days until next available appointment (DUNAA), work-in-progress, and recovery plans with regional teams </li><li>Track and help improve customer satisfaction, including drivers of CSAT and follow-through with the field </li><li>Support productivity and revenue initiatives (labor productivity, cars per technician, throughput vs. demand, and related commercial outcomes) </li><li>Occasionally travel to field locations in the area to validate processes, gather feedback, and support on-ground implementation </li><li>Partner with regional and territory teams on best practices, and help coordinate Robotaxi service programs (scheduling, resource allocation, and regional rollout) as that network grows </li><li>Assist in the execution of key Field Service initiatives, including production planning, shop loading, scheduling, and mobile service response <br><br><br></li><strong>What You'll Bring<br><br></strong><li>Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and other MS Suite tools (PowerPoint, Word, Teams) </li><li>Basic AI skills: comfortable using AI tools (for example Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to draft, analyze, summarize, and speed up day-to-day work </li><li>Background in operations, project management, or business analysis (preferred) </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, logistics, sales) </li><li>Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and process optimization</li><li>Comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous environment with global teams Willingness to work overnight shifts (less than 5% of the time) for time studies and operational analysis </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g., service, operations, sales, delivery) </li><li>Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus but not required <br><br><br></li><strong>Benefits<br></strong>As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for:<br><li> Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction</li><li> Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits</li><li> Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
