Social Media Designer & Strategist – Leading Sports Memorabilia Brand (US-based, Sports Required)

Other Jobs To Apply

We're a well-known sports memorabilia company creating premium, officially licensed collegiate collectibles for college football fans, backed by big-name partnerships. We're looking to engage two independent social media designers and strategists to take the brand to the next level.

Engagement details: 1099 independent contractor (not W-2). Remote, US only. You set your own schedule and use your own tools and equipment.

Design deliverables

- Scroll-stopping, brand-consistent creative across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X: static graphics, carousels, short-form video and motion

- Content around game days, rivalries, team traditions and collector culture

- Creative for key moments like kickoff, rivalry week, bowl season and holidays

Strategy deliverables

- Content strategy and channel/growth plans for each platform

- Campaign plans that grow our audience with fan communities, athletes, creators and alumni groups, and turn followers into buyers

- Regular performance reports with analytics-driven recommendations, and iteration on what's working

Must-haves

- Based in the United States

- Strong visual design skills: graphics, short-form video/motion and brand-consistent creative

- Proven strategy skills: content strategy, channel/growth planning, campaign planning and analytics-driven iteration

- Real experience in sports, through teams, leagues, athletes, sports media or sports brands (please share examples)

- A proven track record of growing a brand on social, with numbers to back it up

- Operating as an independent business or freelancer (1099)

- You live and breathe college football (a big plus)

Nice to have: Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva or CapCut; collectibles or e-commerce experience; creator and athlete partnerships

Our approach to AI: AI tools are welcome as a force multiplier for ideation, research, drafts and workflow speed. Final published creative must be original, human-designed work (real photography, video and design), because authenticity is how we build audience trust. We expect familiarity with platform AI-labeling policies (e.g., Meta's "AI info" label and TikTok's AI-generated content labels), and we always follow platforms' disclosure rules.

Selection process: Finalists will complete a paid work example as part of the interview process.

To be considered, please include:

1. A portfolio (required) showing both your design work (graphics, video/motion) and your strategy and results: sports or brand accounts you've grown, with numbers.

2. A cover letter explaining what you would bring to the table, and how you'd help elevate our brand and get it noticed by millions of potential customers and sports enthusiasts.

3. A short note on how you use AI in your workflow, and how you keep final published creative original and human-designed.

Applications without a portfolio won't be considered.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
