Social Spark Creative Co. is looking for a creative, reliable and detail oriented person to help with content for a growing list of clients.

This role is a mix of short form video editing, caption writing, content brainstorming and scheduling. Some projects will come with specific direction while others will allow for more creative freedom, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with both.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Editing short form content for Instagram Reels and TikTok in CapCut, including pacing, text placement, B roll, audio and current editing styles
  • Writing strong, natural captions that fit each client’s individual brand voice
  • Researching clients and their industries and developing relevant content and video ideas
  • Preparing and scheduling finished content through Rella. Previous Rella experience is not required and training will be provided
  • Reviewing your work carefully for accuracy and quality before submitting it
  • Keeping up with assigned projects, deadlines, communication and revisions

What We’re Looking For

  • CapCut experience is required
  • Strong understanding of Reels, TikTok and current short form content, along with strong caption writing skills
  • Creative, detail oriented and able to both follow specific direction and work independently
  • Reliable communication, strong time management and availability for quick turnarounds when needed
  • Ability to take feedback and consistently apply it to future work

Being local to the Washington, Missouri/St. Louis area is not required, but is a plus. There may occasionally be opportunities to assist with filming client content in person for someone who is local and interested in additional hours.

Hours & Availability

This is a part time position averaging approximately 2–6 hours per week to start with room for more as we grow.

Hours will fluctuate depending on client workload and are not guaranteed to be the same each week. The beginning and end of the month tend to be busier with lighter workloads during other parts of the month.

Availability and turnaround time are important. Some assignments may need to be completed quickly, so applicants should have enough availability in their schedule to consistently complete assigned work on time.

Communication is equally important. Messages regarding active projects should be acknowledged promptly and should not regularly go unanswered for a full day or longer.

Pay

Starting at $18/hour with opportunities for increases based on performance, reliability, quality of work and growth within the role.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can become a reliable part of the Social Spark workflow and help keep content moving efficiently. You don’t need to know exactly how we do everything on day one, but you should be comfortable learning new processes, paying attention to feedback and taking ownership of your work.

There will be times when you’re given footage and specific editing direction and other times when you’re asked to research a client and develop several video ideas. Being able to switch between following an established direction and thinking creatively is an important part of the role.

We’re looking for someone who has room in their schedule for ongoing work and is interested in growing with Social Spark Creative Co.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
