We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Transcribe physician hand written notes into comprehensive medical reports, charts, and documentation using computer software.
  • Proofread and edit transcribed documents for accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, and adherence to medical terminology standards.
  • Utilize word processing tools effectively to format documents according to organizational guidelines.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous or unclear dictations for precise documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion of transcription tasks to support clinical workflows and patient care continuity.
Experience
  • Proven experience in medical transcription or scribing within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong proficiency in English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Familiarity with word processing tools commonly used in medical environments.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology across various specialties along with anatomy and physiology knowledge.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail for error detection and correction.
  • Typing speed that supports efficient transcription without compromising accuracy.
