## About the Role Our customers' success is our business. As a Field Sales Lead, you'll manage current contractual customer relationships and drive new customer acquisition for larger key accounts and within a specified geography (note – key accounts may not be in geography). New business development and growth are central to this position. You'll implement BP marketing offers with customers, provide consulting to improve their marketing capabilities and site execution, and work to boost BP sales and profitability through increased site count and volume throughput. You'll lead a cross-functional team to create and execute a strategic network plan for your assigned portfolio. This role is accountable for approximately 500 million gallons of annual fuel sales. Beyond growing the business, you'll contribute to organizational development through project work that further develops our customers and the BP sales organization—examples include BPAMA working committee, Sales. Force, ITK opportunities, peer mentorship, and marketing liaison roles. ## What You'll Do - Manage all aspects of BP contracts with customers - Drive business development through existing and new customers - Manage financial risk of BP relative to customer credit limits - Grow margin and volume - Manage long-term relationships with complex customers - Work with customers to establish common goals linked to the account plan, focusing on value creation, growth, mutual ownership, and execution - Secure customer commitment to actions that maximize mutual value through negotiation - Sell in and ensure consistent communication and execution of BP marketing programs across the branded jobber channel - Manage volume forecasting and allocation processes - Conduct account reviews, reinforcing BP's value proposition to facilitate overall business and pipeline management - Act as the primary single face to the customer, clearly identifying opportunities and securing internal resources to support offers - Influence both internally and externally to advance key projects focused on business and organizational growth ## What We're Looking For A Bachelor's degree is required. You bring at least 5 years of front-line sales or customer-facing experience, along with advanced knowledge of distributor business and B2B relationship management. We also look for 5+ years in functional relationship management roles, including dealing with senior management. Strong advocacy and interpersonal skills are essential—both internally and with third parties. You can identify and develop new and non-traditional business opportunities and new customers. Your negotiation skills are sharp, and you handle difficult situations and conversations with ease. You're adept at managing complex customers, solving problems, and creating win-win solutions. You pursue business results with tenacity, know distributor businesses and B2B relationship management inside out, and know how to prioritize both business and organizational development. You're ready to move into more senior roles, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and use MS Office Suite skillfully. You understand the geographic footprint and industry players. ## Compensation & Benefits Base pay ranges from $106,000 to $196,000 per year. This range is a good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
