## Asset Protection & Safety Manager At Lowe's, we're committed to delivering quality customer service while keeping our stores clean, safe, and fully stocked. As an Asset Protection & Safety Manager (APSM), you'll play a key role in making that happen. You'll work closely with our Store Operational Leadership team to ensure customers receive friendly, professional, and timely service—and you'll help maintain a secure environment for both customers and associates. Your responsibilities will span a variety of areas. You'll monitor receiving, shipping, and selling patterns to spot and address shrink. You'll champion safety initiatives and help establish processes and controls that improve safety, hazmat compliance, and security outcomes. In the event of violent altercations, you'll need to respond quickly to keep everyone safe. As a Safety Manager, you'll be considered the expert on safety reports, guidelines, and regulations. This role is based in California, MD (St Mary's County). It's an hourly, full-time position, generally scheduled for 39 to 40 hours per week. The physical demands are important to consider: you should be able to perform tasks that involve prolonged standing and sitting, and you must be able to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance, with the ability to lift over 25 pounds with or without help. ### What You'll Need to Succeed To qualify for this role, you'll need a Bachelor's Degree or higher, or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) along with at least 3 years of relevant work experience—such as in retail or asset protection. While not required, we'd love to see: - A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or a related Asset Protection field - Completion of a national certified training program (for example, Wicklander - Zuwalski or Reed training) - Professional accreditation like APQ or APC, or equivalent experience - 2 years of experience directly or indirectly supervising employees, including coaching, mentoring, directing, training, performance management, and recognition - 2 years of experience as a manager in a retail environment - 1 year of experience conducting quality reviews and audits - Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (like P&L or exception reports) - Experience conducting retail investigations, with a track record of handling multiple investigations - Familiarity with physical security systems such as CCTV and EAS ### Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 to $25.00 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on factors such as the specific position, location, education, training, and experience. We're proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time and part-time associates, designed to support different lifestyles. Depending on your role, tenure, and location, benefits may include: - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Life and disability insurance - Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, sick leave, and volunteer time - Flexible spending and health savings accounts - 401(k) with company match - Employee Assistance Program with concierge services and no-cost counseling - Education support programs, including tuition assistance and trade skills scholarships - Business travel accident insurance - Maternity and parental leave, plus adoption assistance - Lowe's Associate Discount and a broad discount platform - Additional discretionary benefits, such as annual bonuses, enrollment in Lowe's Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and deferred compensation plan, depending on eligibility ### About Lowe's Lowe's Companies, Inc.
