We’re looking for top technical talent passionate about automation, scalability, and reliability to help redefine how we build, deploy, and operate large-scale connected game experiences within Unreal Engine for a new title that connects with football fans around the world.

Reporting to a Software Engineering Manager, as an Advanced DevOps & Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable systems and tools that improve developer velocity, build stability, and service reliability across multiple environments. Your work will have a direct impact on how our teams develop, integrate, and deliver world-class sports entertainment experiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for Unreal Engine game clients, backend services, and tools using C++, python, c#, groovy, and more.

  • Automate build, deployment, and environment management processes across Dev, Staging, and Production.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues affecting build stability, uptime, and environment health.

  • Collaborate closely with gameplay, backend, and tools engineers to identify and eliminate workflow bottlenecks within Unreal Engine.

  • Manage version control integrations and branch strategies to ensure stable and consistent release cycles.

  • Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions to ensure proactive service reliability.

  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment practices, including test automation, rollback strategies, and release governance.

  • Contribute to defining and tracking key engineering KPIs, including build success rate, environment uptime, and mean time to recovery (MTTR).

  • Champion DevOps best practices across the studio, helping teams adopt modern, automated workflows.

  • Foster a strong testing culture by actively promoting best practices, mentoring team members, and driving the consistent adoption of effective testing methodologies across the team.

Your Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software development or DevOps engineering experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

  • 3+ years of programming experience with C++

  • 3+ years of experience developing automation for large-scale or live-service environments.

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (multi-cloud experience preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation for scalable, repeatable environment management.

  • Experience with Perforce and/or Git version control workflows.

  • Experience building and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or CloudWatch).

  • Strong understanding of networking, security practices, and environment isolation.

  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

  • A passion for automation, developer enablement, and building reliable systems that scale.

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine and its build and development ecosystem (e.g., Unreal Build Tool, Unreal Automation Tool, Horde, SubmitTool) is desired.

Bonus

  • Experience in multiplayer and live games.

  • Experience with artifact management, distributed caching, and CI parallelization.

  • Familiarity with secure software development practices, including secrets management and automated security scanning.

  • Experience supporting game or real-time service build pipelines for console and PC platforms.

  • Desire to mentor engineers and advocate for continuous improvement in automation and DevOps processes.

  • Passion for continual learning and growing in your career.

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
